About

between mountains & the sea

Wild Coast Collective activewear & experiences inspired by life between the mountains and the sea, designed for movement, connection and the pursuit of a life well lived.

Kiri's story

Kia Ora, I’m Kiri.

Wild Coast Collective was born from a lifelong connection to the mountains, the sea and movement in all its forms. Surfing, snowboarding, Pilates, road trips, cold water and time outdoors have always been a huge part of how I reset and stay grounded.

Growing up in Queenstown, NZ, I originally pursued professional snowboarding before moving into health and studying chiropractic, health coaching and nutrition.

Working in health, I spent years hearing people talk about pain, stress, burnout and exhaustion, but what stood out most was how disconnected many people had become from movement, nature and community.

Long days indoors. Little time outside. Feeling completely drained by the end of the day.

Wild Coast Collective was created as a response to that.

A brand built around movement, connection and the kind of experiences that help people feel better, both physically and mentally.

Inspired by life between the mountains and the sea.

"Somewhere between the mountains and the sea, we come back to ourselves."

A HOLISTIC WAY OF SEEING HEALTH

Te Whare Tapa Whā is a Māori model of wellbeing developed by Sir Mason Durie. It views health as more than just the physical body, recognising the importance of mental, emotional, spiritual and social wellbeing.

At Wild Coast Collective, this philosophy naturally aligns with how we see movement, nature and connection. Whether it’s surfing, training, retreat experiences or simply spending time outdoors, we believe wellbeing is shaped by the environments we spend time in and the people we share them with.

CONSCIOUSLY CREATED

Wild Coast Collective creates premium apparel inspired by life between the mountains and the sea.

Designed for movement, our pieces transition through different parts of the day, from Pilates and training to surf checks, ocean swims and slow mornings outdoors.

We believe in creating quality pieces people can return to season after season, rather than fast fashion designed to be disposable. As we grow, we’re committed to thoughtful design, smaller production runs and creating products with longevity in mind.

But for us, clothing has always been connected to something bigger.

Wild Coast was built from a love for movement, nature and community. Through retreats, workshops and shared experiences, we hope to inspire people to spend more time outside, reconnect with themselves and care for the places that shape us.

Frequently asked questions

What makes Wild Coast different?

Wild Coast was created for movement between worlds, from Land to Sea.

Designed in Aotearoa New Zealand, our pieces are made for everyday movement, whether that’s Pilates, travel, slow mornings, post-surf coffees, or simply clothing you genuinely feel good living in.

What fabric did you use for your first drop?

Our first Wild Coast collection was created using cupro fabric in a small-batch, zero-waste capsule designed and made in Aotearoa New Zealand.

We chose cupro because we loved its soft, elevated feel, breathability, and durability. The fabric moves beautifully on the body and aligned with the slower, more intentional direction we wanted Wild Coast to take from the beginning.

As the brand evolves, we’re continuing to refine our fabrics and explore more sustainable options, including hemp-based blends for future collections.

Where are your garments made?

Our first collection was designed and made in New Zealand.

As the brand grows, we are exploring production partners internationally to access more advanced technical fabrics and production capabilities while ensuring strong standards around quality, ethical manufacturing, and transparency.

How does sizing run?

Most of our pieces fit true to size.

If you prefer a more sculpted fit, we recommend choosing your usual size. If you prefer a more relaxed fit, sizing up may feel more comfortable depending on the style.

Detailed measurements are available in our sizing guide.

How should I care for my garments?

To help extend the life of your pieces, we recommend:

  • Cold gentle wash
  • Wash with similar colours
  • Avoid harsh detergents and fabric softeners
  • Dry in shade
  • Do not tumble dry

Taking proper care of garments helps improve longevity and reduce unnecessary waste over time.
